Nativa Waterfalls
Looking for something off the typical tourist trail? This is the tour for you! La Nativa is an amazing waterfall like no other in Panama! It’s a really unique waterfall with a rounded wall that pours into a small pool and then shoots sideways downstream.

This experience is accompanied by the opportunity to try the authentic taste of Panamanian food, prepared by the locals with whom we can share a pleasant time and learn about their lifestyle. With a private tour, you can have the option of making the trip to the waterfall on horseback.
This waterfall is a very good option for rappelling. You can book the rappelling option on a private tour.

La Gloria Waterfall

Located in the limits of the forest reserves of the Panama Canal, we will find the La Gloria Waterfall. At approximately 75 meters high, this waterfall has a climbing path at the top where you can enjoy other waterfalls and views of the nearby mountains.

Itinerary

Our adventure will begin with the Gloria Waterfall. The journey will take

Approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes from Panama City, to the point where we will take a 4×4 vehicle that will take us to the starting point of the hike.

Once at the site, we will walk approximately 5 minutes before reaching the waterfall.

The journey to climb the waterfall and complete the trail will take between 1 hour and 1 hour 30 minutes. When you reach the top you can cool off in the small waterfalls, and even jump from the waterfall to the water. Once refreshed and after completing the trail, we will take our vehicle again to head towards the Nativa Waterfall. We will park the car and walk to the waterfall. The path to reach the waterfall will take approximately 25 to 30 minutes, through roads, fields and tropical forest. There is the possibility of making the journey on horseback for an extra cost, however it must be specified in advance.

At the waterfall we will stay for a while to swim, relax and fully enjoy an immersion in nature. After having enjoyed a break at the waterfall, we will take the trail back, where a delicious typical Panamanian lunch awaits us to conclude our adventure, before returning to Panama City.

General Information

The name Capira has its origins in the native language Kapira, and it means “warm and burning lands.”.

Capira is a land rich in natural resources, forests, mountains, and water tributaries that provide the Panama Canal with protection. This district also has large rocky formations and unique landscapes due to its closeness to El Valle de Antón.

It’s a multicultural district where customs from surrounding provinces such as Los Santos, Herrera, and Veraguas intersect making this one of the most culturally rich areas of Panama.
