Overview

Immerse yourself in one of the most emblematic experiences of Panama and enjoy the Caribbean like never before. San Blas is an archipelago made up of 365 islands that belong to the Guna Yala community. There you will find crystal clear waters and white beaches, ideal for swimming and relaxing. These beaches of natural beauty are preserved and managed by the indigenous people. 

Our tour includes a visit to the Ucubsui and Pelicano Islands (The island where scenes from the Netflix series “La Casa de Papel” / “Money Heist” were filmed). You will also visit a natural pool where you can swim and relax in the middle of the sea. You will have the opportunity to see starfish and fully appreciate the colors of the marine fauna and make some snorkel and paddle.

You will also have the opportunity to meet the indigenous Guna tribe and try their delicious traditional food based on freshly caught fish and shellfish. If you wish, you can purchase traditional Guna handicrafts such as “molas,” unique souvenirs that reflect the colorful and mystical vision of the indigenous people.

Itinerary

Departing from Panama City at 5:00 a.m. A 4×4 vehicle will pick you up to go to Puerto Cartí. The journey takes approximately 3 hours.

Day tour:  
Both Ucubsui and Pelicano islands will be visited, in addition to the Natural Pool where you can swim, relax, snorkel and paddle. You will have the opportunity to meet the Gunas and try their traditional food for lunch.

Spending a night (or more) on an island in San Blas:
We will do the tour of the islands on the first day, as well as the Day tour. At the end of the tour, you will be taken to Pelicano island where you will stay for the night. You will have dinner, breakfast and lunch served. the rest of the time you can relax, swim and enjoy the beaches. 

Departures the next day are at 3:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m, whichever fits your needs.

Important Information

Entrance Taxes to San Blas

San Blas is a territory that belong to the Guna indigenous people. To be able to enter their land, there will be a tax of 23$ per person, not included in our sale price.

Passport

To get to San Blas, we will go throw a checkpoint to enter the territory of the Gunas. It’s important to have your passport with you.

Transportation

Transportation from Panama City to San Blas will take approximately 3 hours and will be done in an air-conditioned vehicle with space for 6 people. Seats will be assigned randomly by the driver.
