Portobelo and Venas Azules

* Private tour, price starting from 4 people

Portobelo is a port full of history with its fortresses, cannons, pirate stories and beautiful beaches. Its exquisite gastronomy, its Afro-descendant culture and the warmth of its people make this experience unique in the Panamanian Caribbean.

You will visit the ruins of Fort Santiago de Portobelo, a landmark of great importance in colonial times since all the gold from the Spanish colonies came from there. Its construction began in 1598 and it is the oldest Spanish fortification on the continent. It has been attacked by several pirates, including the famous pirate Henry Morgan.

From the port of Portobelo, we will take a boat to make the journey through the mangroves, where we will be able to appreciate the beautiful turquoise color of the water and starfish. Then you will enjoy a day at the beach sunbathing or appreciating the corals while snorkeling.

You will enjoy its attractive beaches and islands that surround the coasts, in addition to delighting in the exquisite Caribbean cuisine.
