For adventure seekers and nature lovers, Los Picachos De Olá offers unique and impressive views. The sunrise hike allows you to fully enjoy a show of light and colors.
The hike to the top is relatively short, however the rocky terrain adds difficulty to the route with steep sloping terrain.
At the top, you will be able to enjoy 360º panoramic views and fully appreciate the rock formations and the central mountain range, in addition to enjoying the views over the town of Olá, the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea, its coasts and much more.
The colors of the hill can vary and go from an intense green color to lighter and golden tones depending on the rainy season.
Anton Valley: 3:30 a.m.
Panama City: 2:00 a.m.
This adventure starts early, before the sun rises, so you can fully enjoy the sunrise at the top. The journey from the Antón valley to the starting point of the hike will be done by car. This will take 2 – 3 hours from Panama City. Upon reaching Ola, we will start our walk to the top of the Picachos de Olá. The hike will take approximately 45 minutes, on steep, rocky terrain. This hike will be done partly in the dark, only illuminated by our flashlights. Once at the top we can rest and enjoy the sunrise and the views.
The way back is a little faster, while hiking in daylight and enjoying the views for our decent.
Back in the car, we will take the road for about 20 minutes towards the Las Mesitas waterfall. There we will walk approximately 15 minutes before reaching the waterfall. Here you can swim, cool off and rest. This is the perfect way to end the adventure before heading back to your starting point.
This is a humble area of Panama where locals make a living through craftsmanship, agriculture, and cattle raising.
It’s a region in Coclé with plenty of nature, beautiful landscapes, and a geology that allows visitors to enjoy unique places that can’t be found anywhere else. The mountains, waterfalls, and rivers create unforgettable memories for every visitor that decides to venture here.
We offer a wide variety of adventures in this region: Hiking, waterfall visits, rappelling, horseback riding and many more.
