Overview
Otoque is an island located in the Gulf of Panama. This island was originally populated by indigenous people. Currently, Otoque is a small fishing town.
Two other islands surround Otoque Island: Estiva and Bona Islands. Today they are considered wildlife reserves. During the months of July to September, whale watching is one of the main attractions in this destination.
In addition to the whales, you can see great marine biodiversity such as turtles, dolphins and a variety of fish.
You will have the opportunity to go hiking on the island of Otoque. Here you can enjoy bird watching and marine fauna, snorkeling and of course swimming and enjoying the beaches.

Panama City
7:00 a.m.
Itinerary
Departing from Panama City, we will arrive at Punta Chame. The journey will take approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. In the port of Punta Chame, we will take a boat for about 40 minutes before arriving at Otoque Island. Along the way, you can observe the great diversity of marine fauna, dolphins and, depending on the season, whales. Upon arrival in Otoque, we will hike across the island through its beautiful tropical forest. The hike will take 1 hour, during which you will be able to appreciate the incredible vegetation and the views over the sea and the surrounding islands. Upon reaching the other end of the island, the boat will wait for us to take us to a beautiful beach on the island, where you can swim and snorkel. After having enjoyed the beach, we will take the boat again to go to the town of Otoque, where a delicious Panamanian lunch will await us. After lunch, we will take the boat to the port of Punta Chame, where we will take our vehicle back to the city.
